We guarantee the premium Criollo Cacao used in this bar has been bought from cacao farmers in Satipo for more than 15% above the fair trade price.
We also support the Criollo community by helping them add as much value as possible to raw materials at the point of origin.
Our Luvju boxes are printed with vegetable based inks on 100% post consumer recycled fibre. These boxes are recyclable.
The wrapper is compostable and made using sustainably managed renewable resources such as non-GMO corn and wood cellulose. The packaging is compostable only under conditions where heat, water, soil, oxygen and microorganisms are present. The manufacturers have also confirmed that no heavy metals, which would potentially be harmful to worms, are used in their printing inks. This high barrier packaging is perfectly suitable to keep your chocolate fresh and does not contribute to landfill if disposed properly – this is something, which we are very proud of.
